Update

October 7, 2018

Since July, the project site changed drastically. An access road has been constructed, a huge part of the site is cleared and levelled ready for civil construction. Furthermore, the temporary office building is taking shape.

Access road

July 6, 2018

The shape of the access road becomes visible since the start of the earthworks. With large machines the soil is transported to the site. Sand and gravel are used for the construction of the access road. Bitumen will be applied to the top layer of gravel.

Culvert

May 14, 2018

To provide access to the construction site all year round, our constructor builds a double 90cm pipe culvert at the lowest point of the site. The culvert allows the rainwater runoff to flow to the lagoon nearby. To connect the access road to the main road a 90cm u-drain with slabs will be constructed.

Help of Ghanaian locals

March 19, 2018

For weeks Ghanaian locals are helping us to clear the location for the Green Energy Ghana site. With their machetes they are cutting our site clean. The locals came up with the offer themselves, having special interest in the palm trees, out of which they will produce palm wine that they can bring to the market. We’re working on a warm and steady relationship with our new neighbors.
