Impact(s)

Contribute to Ghana’s booming agricultural sector
Our organic fertilizer is well suited for cultivating crops and strengthening the soil structure. Therefore, farmers will not only see short-term results in their crop quality and crop yield, but also ensure their farmland remains fertile for many more harvests to come. Additionally, we off-take the organic waste that local farmers produce and may otherwise be disposed of in less effective means.

Improving the environment
The physical environment where previously burning of organic waste and/or dumping of waste water took place will improve considerably, becoming cleaner and healthier, bringing a positive impact on social and economic activities.

Poverty alleviation
In economic terms, direct jobs will be created in different sectors and functions throughout the company and its supply-chain. This includes jobs at the compost making facility, office, waste water treatment plant,  transport sector, construction, etc.

Reduction in morbidity and mortality
Because of strongly reduced dumping of waste water and clean water after treatment, the incidences of water-borne and water-related diseases can be expected to decrease and this will in turn lead to a reduction in morbidity and mortality

Behavioral change
We aim to inform farmers and the general public about the benefits organic fertilizers. Moreover, we want to start a wider discussion about waste reduction, and the ways that waste can be transformed into valuable products and resources.
